In the aftermath of a forbidden moment that rocked Sydney to her core, she finds herself struggling to draw the line between her Alchemist teachings and what her heart is urging her to do. Then she meets alluring, rebellious Marcus Finch--a former Alchemist who escaped against all odds, and is now on the run. Marcus wants to teach Sydney the secrets he claims the Alchemists are hiding from her. But as he pushes her to rebel against the people who raised her, Sydney finds that breaking free is harder than she thought. There is an old and mysterious magic rooted deeply within her. And as she searches for an evil magic user targeting powerful young witches, she realizes that her only hope is to embrace her magical blood--or else she might be next.
Populated with new faces as well as familiar ones, the Bloodlines series explores all the friendship, romance, battles, and betrayals that made the #1 New York Times bestselling Vampire Academy series so addictive—this time in a part-vampire, part-human setting where the stakes are even higher and everyone’s out for blood.

My thoughts: I may have mentioned this before, but I have never seemed to get along with vampire books. However, I absolutely fell in love with Vampire Academy, which is kinda like a companion series to this series, Bloodlines. Both of the series, of course, have the same author. So, I just had to check out the other companion series, once I finished Vampire Academy. The book that I am featuring is the third novel to Bloodlines. I must admit that I was slightly disappointed in the first book in this series. I am very glad, though, that I read the second book...because it blew my mind away! I was just so astonished about how different I felt about the two books. One I hated with my guts and the other was AMAZING and loved dearly with my heart! So, since I loved the second book and I must find out what happens, I am really, REALLY excited for the third book! And that is why I figured I should feature this book...because I'm excited that is.
Great pick! Thanks for sharing! I kind of gave up on this series though.....I shipped Adrian and Rose. My friend calls me a Sadrian hater.....
