Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Beginnings/Endings In Books

This ending was just so unsuspecting...so many deaths

I have no idea why I didn't see this ending coming, but I was just so pissed it ended there. The author is plain cruel. Seriously, everyone else was like the ending is so predictable and I'm just like:

Adrian, why do you do this to me? I knew, I KNEW it was coming, but why did it have to end?

The ending. Was such. A cliffhanger. And I have had the 2nd book for the last 4 months...

God, everything about this book. Especially how it ended. It just leaves me way to curious. And too excited.

The ending actually wasn't bad, but there are so many unanswered questions that I must find out. Now.

This is my first beginning one, weirdly. It just really gripped me from page one, which is hard for that to happen to me. Usually it starts getting good around the middle.

Taste Test

If you can grill it, smoke it, or fry it, Nora Henderson knows all about it. After first hearing of this book, I was extremely excited to read it, because it's focused on food, people. And a competition for teens! It sounded like the perfect summer read! And then, after hearing from a person that it was a huge let down, I kind of deflated. Finally, I decided to pick it up, and it went really well! Maybe because my expectations had decreased or maybe Nora was just that hilarious. Either way, I would recommend this book highly if you were looking for a light read.

We first have our main character, Nora. When I met her, I immediately liked her, because she was really brave and mostly smart. And she had to work to where she got. Sarcastic is another word that I think of. She was a perfect combination of funny and witty! There were parts where I just wanted to smack her, because she was so stupid, but otherwise, I liked her alot!

The love interest, Christian, made me oh so mad. Really, he was highly annoying at first. He seemed bipolar(though I can admit Nora seemed bipolar alot too). Sometimes really sweet, other times...not so much. By the end, I sort of liked him, but I wouldn't go so far to say that I loved him as a character.

The plot was really simple. You know from about page 10 where this story is going to go. But something about how the author wrote just made me love (mostly) the characters. There were a few instances where is was really cheesy. Overall, though, the cooking and competition made me really enjoy it.

A very quick and light read, so pretty much a perfect beach read! The characters were easy to like, and the competition keeps you on your toes! I think if you love cooking, too, this one is especially for you to enjoy.

The Interesting Thing About Being Interesting

In my time blogging, I've learned and noticed alot of things. One of those things is being....well, interesting.

I would never call myself a popular blog, but I do like to think it has it's good days. I put time into it, like almost every other blogger I know. But, throughout it all, I've noticed that being interesting is really, really hard.

I mean, you could write a bajillion amazing posts that deserves showering love and comments.(No, I'm not saying I deserve this myself.) Writing an interesting post will not make you famous however. Well, a few times that happens, but don't try to fool yourself that it might happen to you.

Not only do you have to write amazingly, but you also have to be patient. I think patience is the most important thing. Time is also a huge factor. Communicating with other people and getting to know about them may help, but don't just do to help your blog. Do it for the fun of talking to people about what you love most. Speaking of talking to people, comments also are a huge help. Some people comment back( I do it most of the time.), so therefore people may start liking your posts when you let them discover your posts. Even if you do all these things, this does not mean that you will become worldwide famous, but you probably will have people who actually like what you write and take your thoughts and opinions seriously.

The most important thing to remember when writing posts, is just being yourself. But also make it enjoyable to read and easy to relate to. I myself sometimes have trouble balancing all these things, but it mainly just depends upon practice and just being friendly. Even if you aren't good with words, just do videos, or gifs to express yourself. Just try something different! Don't follow the rules of other blogs.(Just don't do something crazy.)
