Top Ten Tuesday:Favorite Authors in X genre

Top Ten Tuesday-It is a meme created by aime at The Broke and the Bookish where you create a list of your top ten favorite of any given category. So, for this week we are supposed to pick our top ten favorite authors of any genre we like or take a fancy to. I, of course, will pick dystopian and fantasy because I LOVE both of those genres and well...because I have alot of favorite authors in BOTH of those genres. Here goes:

1.My first author in fantasy would have to be...drum roll please...Kristin Cashore! I loved all of the books by her very much. But, I must say I loved Graceling the most. Anyways, she is such a great writer and man, can she write(that is what makes her great of course!).

2.Laini Taylor is also one of my most favorite author because her imagination still astounds me to no end. I have actually only read one of her books, but that one book is enough to tell me that she is an amazing and talented writer.

3.Julie Kagawa is such, such, SUCH, a talented writer. Somehow, this author has got me to LOVE all of her books! I have read ever single one of them and I have fallen in love with ALL of them! I am also very excited to read her new novel coming out in exactly a week from now! Check it out if you also love the Iron Fey series.

4.I am not sure if this is fantasy or not( I think it would fall more into the paranormal section) but, I loved Richelle Mead's series "The Vampire Academy". I usually don't like vampire books( except of course Julie Kagawa's amazing series called "Blood of Eden".) but this one turned out to work for me. I fell in love with the characters, had good action, and, of course, swoonworthy romance.

5.My last fantasy writer favorite would have to be C.C. Hunter. To put it simply, I fell in love with her series called "Shadow Falls". These books are great, so I demand you to at least look them up!

6.Moving on to my favorite  authors of dystopian...my first author will be...Kimberly Derting. The Pledge was one of the first books I read by her, but I later found out that she had entire other series that I STILL need to read! But, mainly I just really enjoyed The Pledge and I think you would too so, if you ever are looking for a good dystopian read this one would be a good one.

7.Lauren Oliver is another very talented author that I just happened to find while searching for books. Needless to say, I absolutely fell in love with Delirium and Pandemoneon. I STILL need to read her single book, though called "Before I Fall".

8.Moira Young is just so great at describing and developing characters. My first book( and only book so far but, the second book is coming out soon!) I read by her, just had me hugging myself and crying senseless. She just had a way with words that easily played with my emotions! Her second book comes out in about 2 weeks from now...have you noticed how many books come out this month or is it just me?

9.Suzanne Collins...do I even need to say it?

10.Kiera Cass is my last favorite author for today. I loved her debut book called "The Selection". She actually made me believe the romance in it, which counts for a lot since I'm finding most romances unbelievable. I also very much enjoyed the dystopian feel of it, but I wish she would have explained it a little better. Altogether, though, I loved it!

  7. I haven't read The Pledge by Derting, but I LOVED The Body Finder. It isn't dystopian (actually, I don't really like dystopian books), but it is so so so good.
