BEA Armchair Introductions

This is my first shot at this, so no making fun of my sad attempts. I'm answering 5 questions, because...umm, it is an intro type thing?

1.Name your favorite blog(s) and explain why they are your favorite(s).

My favorite blogs include The Midnight Garden, Novel Sounds, and Cuddlebuggery.

2.If you could eat dinner with any author or character, who would it be and why?

I think I'd probably choose Leigh Burdago. She is an amazing writer, and she is a fun-type person. I would love to talk Shadow and Bone with her!

3.Tell us one non-book-related thing that everyone reading your blog may not know about you.

Let me think. Oh, thought of one! I have a scar on my heel from high heels that I wore. I got it because I was walking about 2 miles in them.( I did not plan on walking those two miles.)

4.Where in the world are you blogging from? Tell a random fact or something special about your current location. Feel free to share pictures.

Not many people know this, but I'm a farm girl! I live on the edges of South Dakota with my family. There's not much special about my location-unless you count the gorgeous sunsets/nights!

5.What literary location would you most like to visit? Why?

I would most like to visit France, like in Just One Day. Gayle Forman described it beautifully, and it makes me want to travel there so badly!( It doesn't help that I've always wanted to go there.)

You can link me up to your posts, if you're also too busy/ stuck at home to go to BEA. Trust me, when I have an opportunity to go to BEA, I will take it!

  1. South Dakota is underrated. Yes, its lots of cold and wind and wide open spaces...but the wide open spaces are just beautiful!

    Enjoy Armchair BEA!

  2. We have family in the Black Hills area of SD - most are there; one cousin is in Sioux Falls. So, we have visited SD a lot - love to vacation in Black Hills.

    Enjoy Armchair BEA!

I have a YA blog, so I will leave that link for you, but my BEA intro is on my other book blog, so I'll leave that one, too.

    1. That's awesome! I live nearer to Sioux Falls than Black Hills. I haven't actually even visited the Black Hills, even though it is only 5-6 hours away!

  3. Oh I totally want to go to France as well. I must say it's not my TOP dream destination, but if I had the chance? Heck yes, I would go there. The coolest place I've been is England, which is DEFINITELY awesome, but even then I didn't get to spend much time there.

Ugh I totally have scars on my heels from shoes as well. Evil contraptions!

  4. I loooove Midnight Garden as well. It's such a great site. I wish I read Just One Day before I went to France (which isn't possible ... since the book didn't come out until way afterwards), but I would've had a lot of fun retracing Forman's steps. Leigh Burdago would be an awesome person to have dinner with, I'm sure!

  5. Thanks for those blogger links. I checked them out. I specifically came to visit your blog though since you love all things YA, like me. Here's my intro, although I think I'm a wee bit older than you. :P

  6. I would love to visit France too! Although I didn't answer that question in my intro (I couldn't decide on a place and the answer would have turned into an essay). I borrowed Just One Day, but didn't get a chance to read it because my teachers can be very, well, evil... Oh, high school.
